This is the reason for renting a small car in Ireland. Many of the country roads are one lane with stone walls on either side, or like in this picture, a cliff for a guard rail.

Fern Villa on the Edge of Wales

The picture on the left is Fern Villa, the B & B where we will stay the first night off the ship. After docking in Southampton, we will take a car service across England and Wales to Fishguard which is right on the coast. The view from Fern Villa's garden is the picture on the top. This is a beautiful small fishing village with a gorgeous bay. We will have a day here to poke around and explore this portion of Wales. Hope to find some interesting pubs and shops before we line up to get on the car ferry to Ireland.
