This Thursday night I board AMTRAK's Capitol Limited in Chicago for Washington, DC. I booked a sleeper car with its own bathroom so I wont have to walk down the hall during the middle of the night. Most people don't get it about riding the train, but I find it relaxing and alot of fun. There is a certain rhythm to being on board and you have to acquire the knack of walking on the train from car to car...that can take some skill. But you always meet the most interesting people on the train. Once aboard they will serve us dinner around 7PM and the next morning breakfast starts around 6 AM for the early risers. Peggy will meet me at Martinsburg, WV around 11 AM on Friday morning. This is a superior way to travel in my mind...because, you know...I don't fly.
